Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school has been established for about 4 years now. We are a growing campus and we have 6th through 11th grade in this 2018-2019 school year. Our kids are mostly African-American and Hispanic students. This will be the third year having dance on our campus.
For the past 3 years, our dance team has worked so hard to be recognized throughout our school district with little to no funding.
They have built the school culture and pride that has been felt in all encounters with our school, parents, and community.
We are ready for year 4! Our team is built up of 6th through 11th grade because we believe in unity, mentorship and growth with each other! Most schools separate MS and HS, but we don't! The only thing is that we want to represent well wherever we go, so we need your help!
My Project
For the past two years our Dance Team has showed up to competitions with their dance practice clothes. These clothes are not unified in color, style and design. With your help, this apparel can make our team look professional, united, and feel their sense of team when they step foot on competition grounds. We want them to feel confident in who they are and we want to dress to impress. We are not funded at all and hardly are able to raise funds with the restrictions that our district gives us. Our students deserve better. We want to represent well! Thank you for your donation in advance!
