Dance Program Needs Classroom & Storage Supplies

My students need storage containers in multiple sizes, two storage bins with drawers, a keyboard cover, and a cover for an iPad pro.

My Students

My dance classes are my favorite classes to teach because my students are motivated and they really seek to push themselves to the limit. They are a talented bunch of creative young people who inspire me every day.

They have an incredible ability to soak up choreography like a sponge and their group dynamic is very caring and compassionate.

My students are eager learners who are diverse culturally and socioeconomically.

Our school is a college preparatory high school in Southern California with a rigorous curriculum that is highly demanding. Students are expected to rise to the occasion academically despite social and financial obstacles that they may face. Our school is designated as a low socioeconomic status, and we are deemed a Title I school.

My Project

I would like to request the following items: keyboard cover, iPad Pro cover, two storage bins with drawers, and storage containers in multiple sizes.

It is very important for us to preserve the items that we already have in our classroom so these supplies will help us do just that!

The keyboard cover will help lengthen the life of my keyboard. I am at this desk every day and it is much more reasonable to replace the keyboard cover rather than replace the keyboard. This also protects the keyboard from potential minor spills that may happen.

The iPad Pro cover will be used for the same reason! We just received our new iPad pro from DonorsChoose earlier this year. I would hate for us to not take care of our new technology properly. We want this to last in our classroom so we need to protect it from scratches and getting dropped by accident.

The storage bins and containers in multiple sizes will be used in our costume closet. Once again, being organized and taking care of what we do have in our costume closet not only demonstrates to the students that we need to respect what we have in our closet, but it shows them the importance of taking care of these items for the future. We want to be able to pass these items down to future dancers.
