Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Middle School students can be shy and unable to express themselves. Through this program, we will build confidence in their expression and help them to create a passion for lifelong fitness.
Many colleges provide dance opportunities, and our goal is to expose the students to all types of dance, work with them on their motor skills and bring awareness to their growing bodies; keeping them healthy for life.
The yoga mats will be used daily for stretching and strengthening, the beanbags will be used for various games and to promote hand/eye coordination and the belly dance skirts encourage students to engage in movement and rhythmic patterns in a fun, engaging way.
