My Project

My students love to dance! Eight years ago I started a dance club at my school because the late Nai Ni Chen of the nonprofit, Nai Ni Chen Dance Company, approached me and asked, "Can your students dance?" My answer was yes, if you teach them. She quickly answered with, "I have a vision"! Her vision was to see dancers, not their differing abilities nor their wheelchairs. My students have grown tremendously all due to one woman's vision.

I want to provide a dance uniform/t-shirt for my students so they will look as awesome as they dance!

Having a uniform and practicing together as a team will make the students feel proud, resulting in positive effects on their self esteem. The students are so proud of all their accomplishments, as is everyone who watches them.

My dance club meets once a week in two separate sessions. I have a total of 34 dancers. This club is the highlight of my students' week. Nai Ni Chen's Company provides the school with two of the most amazing dancer teachers.

It's been a little over a year since Nai Ni's tragic and untimely death, but her vision is expressed and lives on in the A. Harry Moore/Nai Ni Chen Dance Club's performances.
