Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students attend a non-profit public charter middle school that serves students in inner-city San Diego, primarily from the historic Barrio Logan and Logan Heights neighborhoods. We teach a generally underserved population of students who would greatly benefit from this donation. All students on our campus qualify for and receive free breakfast and lunch daily. While they have many valuable academic materials and resources provided to them, we are in need of more in order to provide the best education possible to our students.
Our mission statement as a school as we work with our students is simple: “We seek excellence in academics, arts, and athletics from the foundation of love.” We as teachers and staff care deeply about our students' well-being and development.
By donating to this project, you will provide a positive impact on my students and their learning while in my classroom.
