My Students

I teach at a title one magnet school where most of my students are on free and reduced lunch. My students get dance once a week for free through our magnet theme. Most of my dancers are not able to afford dance outside of school, so I am there dance teacher.

I teach at a Elementary school for the performing arts.

I teach dance to grades Kindergarten through fifth grade. My students get dance once a week for free through the magnet program. I also have four performing groups that dance at school and throughout our community. I would like my students to look and feel like real dancers but I can't afford to always buy nice stuff for my 350 students that get dance. There parents can't afford to buy them the supplies they need for dance.

My Project

The dance tutu's would make my students feel like real ballerina's. My dancers work so hard throughout the year and need to look as beautiful as they are. It is difficult for me to provide costumes for the amount of students that I have. My students will be learning how to dance and look like professional dancers. I am teaching them the foundation to become future stars.

I really would like for my dancers to shine like the stars that they are.

They are young and impressionable. I want them to have a magical experience when they are on the stage in their tutus.
