My students need many classroom resources to make sure they can have a wonderful learning experience next year in the areas of dance and technology!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are young leaders in a Title I school in Staten Island, New York. My students are eager to learn but often times lack materials to help them succeed. This year I will have the pleasure of teaching the whole school of about 150 different learners from diverse backgrounds and different educational needs. In our school classroom, students are able to follow our school's mission and vision by learning through exploration and hands-on activities. This year I will be teaching dance and technology to all students K-3. Being that this is a new program, we are in need of some classroom supplies to help our students further their learning in the areas of technology and dance.
My Project
I work at a Title I school in Staten Island where the majority of my students are ESL learners. To better prepare our children for the 21st century I proposed a program where students were able to learn more about technology and the skills needed to be successful in our world. I was also afforded the opportunity to teach dance to our students as well. Next year I will be in a unique position to strengthen my students love for school through the arts and technology. With these resources, I will be able to better my classroom and provide my students with the most inviting learning environment.
With the speakers and lighting equipment, I will be able to play music for my students to dance to as well as use the lighting for our performances for our community to increase parent engagement.
The crayon cases will help our classroom be an organized and safe place to dance and learn!
The camera and Film will be used for students to take pictures of their work to put on display in our classroom and school community.
