Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These products get used up pretty quickly, and we need to replace them quite often. Students love the seating options in our reading corner. We make puppets using paper bags. They love to make the characters from stories we read come alive with simple paper bag puppets. We use ABC stamps to write our names and the ink pads need to be replaced. The large ziplock bags are used for students to store their books inside their desks. Play-Doh is used daily to help students continue to develop their fine motor skills for writing and drawing. We use baby wipes for cleaning of desks and hands. Parents are struggling with the high cost of living in Los Angeles, and that is why I purchase these items year-round instead of asking for donations and placing a burden on families that are already struggling to make ends meet. All these items help us keep our learning organized and fun.
