My Project
The students in my fifth grade integrated co-teaching class range in reading levels from Pre-A to Y. Many students do not enjoy reading and writing. We want to change this by providing access to more engaging materials within our classroom. We would like to purchase Daily Language Journals for our students through Lakeshore Learning. These journals will allow our students to learn reading and writing skills in an engaging way.
These Daily Reading Journals will provide our students with quick, concise tasks to help them practice much needed ELA skills.
We are hoping to improve our students' reading comprehension so they may better understand complex, grade level texts. These journals will be used during reading and writing instruction to help address the standards our students are expected to meet. Students will learn reading and writing skills in a more exciting, student-centered way.
