This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A little bit goes a long way, especially for those of us in a financially unstable, Title 1 school district.

With that being said, I am looking for materials for next year that will fill in the gaps for my speech room; materials that do not require me to be purchasing my own paper to make copies for my students.

I truly think my students will be so encouraged to work hard with ready-made materials that belong strictly to them. It will also create a sense of responsibility for them, being in charge of their own books on a daily basis during speech.

Something as small as a daily reading comprehension book will allow me to work on a plethora of speech and language goals every day!

My Project

These daily language workbooks will help my students practice, and progress, toward their individual speech and language goals throughout the school year.

With little to no district funding, we, as educators, struggle to reproduce materials since we have no access to paper unless we purchase it ourselves.

These materials would keep my students engaged, while teaching them a sense of responsibility for handling their own, personal workbooks. Each grade-specific daily language workbook targets fully functional, curriculum-rich, skill areas that the upper elementary students need to succeed in the school setting. They will, without a doubt, be prepared for NYS assessments!
