My Project
My first graders are learning how to put their wonderful thoughts into writing! We do daily journal practice to build stamina, learn how to craft sentences, use our creativity, and become stellar spellers! This is a daily routine that supports students in their reading and writing, which ultimately propels them forward in all subject areas.
We need journals, pencils, and erasers to make our daily journal time run smoothly! Students will have a sense of ownership over these materials and will truly feel like expert authors as they put reading and writing skills into use.
