My Project
“You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great”- My students are some of the greatest people that you'll ever meet. They are creative, curious, funny, sometimes lazy, sometimes disorganized, kind and eager to help. My students attend an urban high school where 94% of students qualify for the federal lunch program. Many come from first-generation American homes where English is not spoken. We, like many public schools, struggle with arts funding and we rely on your generosity to fill in the financial gaps that allow us to provide our students with the art opportunities they crave.
