Daily Computers With The Daily Five

My Students

This year my students will engage in the Daily Five for reading. Each day they will read independently, read to someone, work on writing, complete word study and listen to reading. With this computer, students will be able to do all of these things digitally!

I am the lucky teacher of 28 second graders.

My students come from more than ten different countries and speak 14 different home languages! My school focuses on immigrant, refugee, and neighborhood students. Over 85% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. My students deserve high quality materials and experiences, which are often denied to them due to home and school budget issues. You can help give them the high quality educational experiences they deserve.

My Project

Computers engage students and open our classroom to the world. By introducing the Daily Five in my classroom, it is my goal to provide each student with engaging activities which encourage them to see themselves as readers and writers. The addition of this computer in our classroom will allow each of my students to use the computer every day. Students will read and listen to materials and books online, write in blogs and wiki pages, and complete word study games.

Your generosity will provide 28 amazing students with the opportunity to use the computer each day to engage in reading and writing activities.
