My Students
My students spend a lot of time reading and writing in the classroom. They love reading alone and reading to each other. All they need are portable CD players so that they can listen to reading at their desks(or on the carpet).

I have a wonderful group of first grade students this year who LOVE to learn!
They are constantly asking questions and love to read and write. My students smile and laugh all day long. I am in a small school. The teachers get a long very well and collaborate with each other.
My Project
As of right now, we are working on Daily 4 in the classroom since we do not have the portable CD players that we need for "Listening to Reading". I'm envisioning students at their desks (or on the carpet) reading while they listen to the books on Cds.
Students have not been able to work on "Listening to Reading" yet in Daily 5.
It will make a difference in my classroom because it's a great skill to have and will help them on their journey to become wonderful readers.
