FULLY FUNDED! Dr. Wentz's classroom raised $490

My Students
This year I am fully implementing The Daily 5 and Cafe in my classroom! We are in need of materials to make our reading dreams come true!
My class is composed of 16 amazing boys and girls ready to learn with a variety of materials!
We are traveling on this journey together! We are part of a Title 1 school and many of my students are at risk in reading. While they are not reading at grade level, they are very eager to learn and be successful.
My Project
My students will be using these materials during small group instruction. Each of these materials will be used in different components of Daily 5. While the teacher is working with a small group of readers, the rest the class will be working independently with stamps, shells, sand, sight word cards, and literacy and comprehension kits. The use of these materials will help increase spelling, phonological awareness, sight words, and more. Additionally, my students will use these materials to increase literacy and comprehension skills.
Funding this project will be extremely beneficial for my students.
One way this project will change my students' lives for the better is by helping them close the gaps in their reading and writing development. This will help increase their learning and ensure success throughout their educational career. Now is the time to prevent further gaps in their learning!
