This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in a 1st Grade bilingual classroom. They are hard-workers and they are full of enthusiasm.They love working and playing with manipulatives; they love asking interesting questions and wondering about the world.Since they started the year in my classroom, they have improved their skills and knowledge in all of the areas.
My students are 9 boys and 8 girls that work together in a very respectful environment and treating each other with empathy and kindness.
I enjoy being with them a lot.
My Project
Today's society runs around technology. It is not a secret that future men and women will work around it. Kids love reading and learning! I would like to provide a learning station with iPads loaded with eBooks which will encourage them to read in a different way.
With this station, we will open our possibilities not only with regular books but also with audio books.
This will help our students with difficulties reading or those that are not independent readers.
Since my students are bilingual, the amount of books they will have access to will increase. They will read many books both in English and Spanish.
