This coming year I will be teaching all virtual classes. Online tools such as PearDeck and resources from Teachers Pay Teachers are not only going to be convenient, they are going to be necessary. These online tools will allow me to interact with students in real-time while teaching a lesson, give students immediate feedback, and provide an easy platform for them to complete and submit work.
These digital tools are both engaging and easy to use when teaching and learning through a virtual class.
With PearDeck all students are able to be active participants in the lesson by responding to questions in real-time which gives them a feeling of actually being part of the class. Teachers Pay Teachers has a huge library of resources that are made by teachers and can be easily applied to my online classroom. Again, this is going to be a vital tool to have when teaching virtually.
In addition, I am also asking for gift cards to be able to give rewards for students' hard work. With our students doing schooling from home, we are not able to give them traditional rewards that might be given out in an in-person classroom. Sending small gift cards home to them through the mail is an easy and convenient way to give students some much needed recognition for their hard work.
