Cutting Edge Construction

Help me give my students a sliding compound miter saw for construction and carpentry projects.

My Project

Construction students will be busy this next school year! Building beds for children in need, building housing at the local animal shelter, and competing in building competitions are just a few of the tasks they will be taking on beginning in August.

Productivity is affected due to having only one miter saw currently in the school construction shop.

With a new compound sliding miter saw, students would have two cutting stations at which to work. This saw would also be the one we would take with us as we travel to work-site job experiences and compete at district and state competitions. Funding this project means giving a student a cutting edge in the school shop and at competitions.
