Cut it out! Students will learn to cut out parts of the linoleum to create a block print and learn printmaking techniques.
My school is a very large high school in California.
Our students are ethnically diverse and many of our students are on free and reduced lunches. Our school does not have the money to purchase art supplies and neither do our students. Please help our students be creative and explore the world of art. My students need linoleum and linoleum cutters to create a block print and learn printmaking techniques.
My Project
Students will be learning about master printmakers such as Albrecht Durer and will then design their own block prints. Students will use their imagination to create a landscape view and carve it out of linoleum. Then a print will be made of their carved drawing.
Students need time to explore their imagination and creativity.
Many of our students are low income and they need to find a way to express themselves and turn their imagination into something positive and creative.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
