My students need more opportunities to bring technology into the classroom. The Silhouette Cameo 3 will enable them to create and cut their work, adding dynamic presentations to their projects, and teach them about digital design.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a highly enthusiastic and diverse group of learners! They come from wonderful families with a strong commitment to education, who will support their children as best as they can to achieve successfully in the classroom and in the future.
Unfortunately, as this is a very high poverty school, many of the students do not have access to computers beyond the classroom.
Additionally, some of my students have just arrived in this country and spend their days in the classroom lost due to a language barrier. To support their growth while being immersed in English and American culture, I would love to have the opportunity to incorporate more technology into the classroom.
My Project
I love being able to teach my students beyond textbooks and curriculum. I try to incorporate a cross-curricular approach in all subject areas.
My students really enjoy using technology to supplement the learning going on in the classroom!
The Silhouette Cameo will enable them to design and cut enhancements to their projects, create lettering that is bold, incorporate different fonts and mediums, and learn more about wireless technology.
The combination of technology and art that this project will support will enhance the learning in the classroom. In order to prepare my students for college and career readiness, they need all the technology they can get! I can't wait to see what my students create!
