FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Schatz's classroom raised $501

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach in a self-contained classroom in NYC for students with special needs. All of my students come from an economically disadvantaged background and receive free breakfast and lunch. The majority of my students are several levels behind. Work needs to be tailored to each of their individual needs. They need access to materials that are on their instructional levels, but are also age appropriate.
Smaller versions of charts and graphic organizers are essential to my room of special needs learners who need frequent reminders and visual support!
One of the struggles as a teacher today is limitations on copies and toner we are provided by the school. The only reasonable way to get students the resources they need is to create my own worksheets and graphic organizers. Since my class has unique needs, the amount of copies needed are vast.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
