it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students face the challenges of poverty on a daily basis. We are located in the southernmost region of the United States and live in one of the poorest counties in the country. These students, who wake up every morning wanting to learn despite the difficulties that they face at home, are who inspired and motivated me to post a project on DonorsChoose.org. I am honored and blessed to serve them and to be part of their lives. This is why reaching out to you is the least I can do to help them improve and be able to reach and experience the same opportunities that others have in our country.
My students manage to always have a smile and care for each other as much as possible every single day.

My Project
As I give class on a daily basis I sometimes find myself thinking if my students' backs or bottoms hurt from sitting on the rug for such long periods of times. I myself would get tired so I thought of posting this project.
Soft cushions will allow my students to sit and enjoy our circle and centers times without feeling uncomfortable.
I can only imagine that their attention will improve even more if they don't have to be thinking to themselves that their bottoms are tired.
A good circle time session can be very productive in terms of academic learning that I don't want their attention to be diverted by anything. Your donations towards this project will be tremendously appreciated by both the students and myself.
