This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The storage items I’m requesting will make a huge difference in my students’ learning by creating an organized and accessible dramatic play area. When everything has a designated place, my kindergarteners can easily find the costumes and props they need to dive into role-playing, storytelling, and creative expression. This not only keeps our classroom tidy but also helps students develop important social and language skills as they engage in imaginative play. Having a well-structured space will encourage independence, responsibility, and collaboration—key skills that will benefit them beyond the classroom.

My goal for this project is to enhance our dramatic play center by making it more functional and inviting.

With proper storage, students will be able to focus on creativity instead of searching through clutter. I want to create a space where they feel inspired to explore different roles, build confidence in their storytelling abilities, and practice problem-solving in a fun, hands-on way. By fostering imaginative play, I hope to support their cognitive and emotional growth while making learning more engaging and meaningful.

What makes my students special is their boundless curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. They bring so much joy and creativity to the classroom, and dramatic play allows them to express themselves in ways that traditional learning sometimes doesn’t. Whether they’re pretending to be doctors, chefs, or community helpers, they’re developing essential life skills while having fun. With this project, I want to give them the tools to keep dreaming big, exploring new ideas, and making learning an adventure every day!
