My students need cursive handwriting books and boards to introduce, practice, and perfect the art of cursive writing.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Taff's classroom raised $359

My Students
My students are an eager and active bunch of third graders who love learning. My classroom is at a Title I school, with most of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. My students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures: some live in government housing, some speak English only in the classroom, but they all are joyful, creative, and desire to conquer anything thrown their way! Because we live in the digital era, many students express frustration not only in trying to sign their names, but also when we encounter cursive handwriting in various texts and historical documents.
My Project
We live in a digital world, and sadly, cursive handwriting has become a lost art. Through these donations, I foresee being able to more effectively continue my instruction on how to write in cursive, as well as be able to give my students more practice at perfecting the art. Even in a digital world, there is so much importance in being able to sign your name. As you consider giving, please think of how many times you sign your own name each day. You've heard the old adage, it takes a village, and we'd love for you to be a part of our village!
