Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Funding will be used to purchase curriculum resources to be utilized in daily classroom learning. The resources promote student learning where students will be prepared for college-level mathematics courses. Students will collaborate and learn to utilize various problem-solving strategies to determine the solution by using prior knowledge and reasoning skills through group collaboration and consolidating their learning by formalizing their learning by summarizing their notes and completing checks for understanding questions. The curriculum resources encourage student discourse and critical thinking skills these are rich tasks that value-add students' mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
