My Project
As a teacher, I see everyday how important it is that students have access to books that interest them, promote diversity, and encourage social-emotional learning. Too often classroom libraries are filled with books that have been passed down for years and years, and students just don't want to read them.
I asked my students what our classroom needed the most and they unanimously agreed that we needed fresher books that showcased all types of students.
So that is exactly what I am hoping to do. I would like to get more books in our classroom library that my students find exciting and books that are representative of ALL students!
