My Project

My students have little access to positive current events. In light of COVID-19 and other recent tragedies, the students have had little exposure to positivity outside of the classroom. By providing them with current event literacy magazines as well as integrating math standards and skills, I can mesh the best of both worlds!

These Scholastic magazines are the perfect way to keep students up to date and reading about positive issues that effect them both in and out of the classroom.

This is also the most perfect way for students to make the connection that math concepts and solving problems is all around us in the real world and not just in the classroom!
