it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My third graders are full of energy, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn about the world around them. Every day, they come into the classroom with wide eyes and big questions—especially when it comes to science. They love hands-on activities, interactive learning, and stories that help them connect what they learn to the real world.
To fuel their love of learning, I’m asking for two key resources: a BrainPOP membership for the school year and a collection of high-interest books to support our unit on animal habitats.
BrainPOP brings science to life through engaging videos, quizzes, and activities that help students understand complex topics in a fun, age-appropriate way. It’s perfect for visual and auditory learners and supports vocabulary development and critical thinking skills. My students thrive with BrainPOP because it turns abstract ideas into something they can see and understand.
Alongside BrainPOP, we need books that explore different habitats—deserts, oceans, rainforests, and more. These books will give students a chance to dive deeper into research, build reading comprehension, and make cross-curricular connections between science and literacy.
