Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy-I read to them, they pretend to play school (teacher and students), and they read independently! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and the children are thankful for them. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. I know what subjects interest them and which books will be helpful learning tools. Students will be provided fun and interesting choices for them, which will encourage them to become life-long learners and readers..
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will expose them to new and interesting topics, colorful pictures, and all of the concepts of print that are so important for them to learn at an early age.
The best way to begin a child's education is to offer as many different learning opportunities as possible. My students already have shown a strong interest in reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
