Curious Classroom Library Part II

My students need to keep reading. These books and sets are highly recommended by students and teachers alike. Experts in young adult literature have also supported these books.

My Students

My students are curious. They read and write every day, analyzing and exploring a variety of texts. In my classroom, they gather knowledge from non-fiction articles and wisdom from their independent reading novels. On any given day, a student may share these tidbits with me: the thrill of ending a good book, the discovery of a new graphic novel, or perhaps the acquisition of a new fact that expanded their understanding of the world.

We must continue to feed their curiosity by providing a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction texts, as my students are hungry for new reading choices.

They read every day, at home and at school, exhausting our classroom library. Please help them step into new worlds, meet new characters, and experience new plots and themes.

My Project

My students have raved about these new books, and the donations have been amazing! As a result, I've added a few more titles to keep the library robust and interesting for the kids.

Students want to finish a series once they start it.

Buying these box sets ensures that students keep the momentum going and read more books. The goal is to really get students identifying as readers. This will hopefully contribute to a life-long love of reading, learning, and thinking.

Likewise, ordering books like Sunny, by Jason Reynolds, allows students to finish a series that we started in class.
