My Project
My school has been trying to build up the gifted and talented program at our high school location. The students are interested in a wide variety of things, so I want them to be able to explore their interests and grow their knowledge.
The gifted and talented students hold a special place in our society, so we should encourage their curiosity and growth and expand their interests.
I want to use these items to help my group of gifted and talented high school students to complete projects that will be presented at the end of the year program. Items we have chosen are STEM related like the robotic arm, the physics law kit and the engineering kit. The baking supplies are being used to study the science of leavening and how temperature affects the outcome. They will be able to coalesce these skills into a comprehensive project presentation in their senior year. This is a great entry to individual learning that will continue in college and in their careers.
