Culture-Oriented Activity

My Students

My students have stepped into the DLI immersion program since first grade. Students will have half-day spent to learn Chinese, social studies and science in target language at elementary, while only two 45 mins per day at middle school. The COVID-19 made project-based learning difficult among kids.

My Project

Headphones are used for regular standard test especially when having listening and speaking questions. Clays and blank canvas are used for social studies (Ancient Civilization Projects) and culture activities (Traditional Chinese Paintings).

I think it is a great way to take the most use of these supplies when applying to class activities so that students can not only get to know everything by textbook or online reading material but also to work on their own after creating something real, such as a piece of artwork like a terra cotta warrior.
