My Project

Please help me to build a culturally responsive classroom library in which I can represent student diversity and support them to engage in critical conversations.

My students have been through so much due to the pandemic and quarantine.

These books will help spark in depth conversations about celebrating who they are, who they represent, and also how to deal with emotions and feelings. Many have not had a chance to voice their feelings or opinions. These books will not only help spark those conversations but also provide windows and mirrors for students who may not be accustomed to reading this before!

My goal is to guide my 5th graders to become more empathetic towards one another and to celebrate differences.
