This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We work hard to demonstrate equity in our actions and develop all-around social and emotional well-being. When children read stories that they can identify with they realize that they are not alone in their identity. Providing relevant materials for our students to read and connect with is the first step in helping them feel empowered to use our differences for a positive impact. In our classroom, we also take time to recognize our emotions and the impact those emotions have on our everyday choices- it is important for us to be aware!
