Cultural Equipment for Global Learning

My Students

We are 5th Chinese immersion class students. My students has learn Chinese for 4 years. They enjoy learning the language and also the culture. Living in US, students do not have too many chances to connect with real Chinese cultural. It would be nice to have real items to allow student to connect their learning with authentic experiences. This year our goal is in Chinese class, we would like to promote Cultural diversity in school. We will have a Chinese cultural festival for the whole school Chinese class, this project will benefit for at least 300 students with Chinese immersion classes.

My Project

My students have learned Chinese in school for 4 years, however to add to their learning experience we need cultural enrichment opportunities! By simulating every day activities, that the students in Chinese School experience, we will deepen the cultural experience by immersing students in authentic activities. This will increase their desire to learn and enjoy cultural diversity and provide opportunities to interact with others authentically in Chinese.

Through authentic activities students will be able to continue their love for Chinese language and culture.

This will help them to pursue further opportunities for higher education in a variety of careers and help to increase their global understanding.
