Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our goal for this project is to create a vibrant and inclusive Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at our family fun night! By integrating various activities and decorations, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Hispanic cultures.

For our celebration, we are seeking the following items:

1. DIY Worry Doll: These traditional dolls will help students explore Guatemalan culture by making their own, learning about this unique practice.

2. Coco Remember Me Lotería Game: This game, inspired by the movie Coco, will engage students with Mexican heritage in a fun and interactive way.

3. DIY Wooden Maracas and Markers: Crafting maracas will allow students to engage with traditional Latin American music.

4. Hispanic Countries Banner: This banner will decorate our school and educate students about Hispanic nations.

5. Hispanic Heritage Buttons: These buttons will serve as keepsakes for students to wear.

6. Tissue Paper: This paper will be used to create papel picado decorations, a traditional Mexican craft.

7. Pin the Tail on the Donkey Party Game: A classic game with a cultural twist to add interactive fun to our celebration.

The items we are requesting are crucial for creating a meaningful and immersive Hispanic Heritage Month celebration that will benefit our entire school community. By participating in these activities, students and families will gain a greater appreciation for Hispanic cultures and traditions, fostering a stronger sense of community and cultural awareness among all.
