Cultivating Literacy Centers

Help me give my students the opportunity to learn in small groups to meet my schools instructional priority. Our focus this year is small group instruction these centers will allow the students the opportunity to work independently.

My Students

My students attend an inner-city Title I Achievement School. My school population is made up of 80% African American 20% hispanic and 10% white students, and 99% of the students receive free lunch

We are in a time where learning is evolving and at an essential shift in the lives of teachers and families.

My students need to be afforded the opportunity to advance in the classroom with the tools that will allow them to do just that. The start of school year is so essential to all of my families and basic schools supplies should not hinder the children from a successful start. My students are an amazing group of young people who desire the same learning experiences as any other students in my district.

My Project

These literacy centers can be used in our out of the classroom. If we are doing virtual learning the students can still have the ability to interact with the literacy centers. The literacy centers will give the students a hands on approach to learning. The centers will give the student an opportunity to have a tangible object to manipulate and still learn at the same time. The students will have an opportunity to interact with the teacher in the classroom or virtually. We love to learn please support our project!
