This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will serve as powerful resources for building and strengthening my students' social-emotional skills. Each story offers meaningful messages and relatable experiences that help students better understand emotions, relationships, and empathy. During our read-aloud sessions, I’ve noticed how engaged my students become, actively listening and connecting with the characters and themes. This connection allows them to truly grasp the lessons woven into each story, fostering important life skills such as kindness, self-awareness, and compassion.

Beyond the read-aloud experience, these books will remain accessible in our classroom library, providing students with opportunities to revisit their favorite stories independently.

Whether they’re exploring a book for the first time or rereading a familiar tale, these moments contribute to their growth as both readers and individuals. My hope is that these stories will continue to inspire reflection, spark meaningful conversations, and empower my students to navigate their social and emotional worlds with confidence and understanding.
