Help me give my students these VivoBooks to allow them to learn and compete in the 21st century in the areas of reading, writing, math, and science with the technology that so many other students have access to.
My students are the light of my life. They come to my classroom with a number of social issues and, together, we turn a group of inner city kids into motivated and excited learners. The school is considered to be in a high poverty location, but all of us understand that we must forge ahead because a good education is imperative for their future success.
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela
From day one, my students are aware of my perspective on education. Together we make goals that help each one of them strive to use their education as a weapon to guide in their success. They understand this quote from Nelson Mandela and explain how it applies to their own lives and learning. At the end of the year, I always reflect on how well they are doing with their "powerful weapon."
My Project
The students in my class deserve to have technology that works and is in good working condition. These computers will provide my students the opportunity to access reading materials, write essays while having the opportunity to utilize spell and grammar check, practice math word problems, and so much more that will give them the edge they need to compete in our competitive educational system.
I believe access to technology is a necessary tool to becoming a competitive student in today's information age.
Please help my students work up to their full potential by allowing them to use new and effective technology.
