Dear DonorsChoose Community,

I am thrilled to present a project aimed at enhancing the musical journey of our diverse students at Chicago Public Schools – the acquisition of a Donner Synthesizer for our music classroom.

This versatile instrument holds the key to unlocking a world of creativity and exploration for our preK-8th graders.

The requested synthesizer is not merely a piece of equipment; it is a catalyst for transformative learning experiences. By incorporating the synthesizer into our large group ensemble improvisations, students will have the opportunity to unleash their creativity in real-time collaborative settings. This hands-on approach fosters not only musical skills but also cultivates teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Our goals for this project extend beyond musical proficiency. We aim to nurture a lifelong love for music and provide a platform for students to express themselves authentically. The Donner Synthesizer serves as a gateway for students to explore the vast realms of sound synthesis and electronic music, opening doors to new avenues of self-expression and creativity.

What sets our students apart is their boundless enthusiasm and eagerness to explore new horizons. Despite facing various challenges, they approach each day with resilience and an unwavering spirit of curiosity. Our students thrive in environments that foster inclusivity and encourage them to embrace their unique talents and perspectives.
