Help me give my students the supplies they need to feel safe and comfortable. Working at a low-income school means students often do not have the money to bring snacks or supplies to school.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Working at a low-income, Title I school means that many of my students do not come with the supplies or snacks they need for the day. The snacks will be given to students who come to school without anything to eat. The markers will be used as a classroom resource for students who are not able to purchase the required district materials creating things like world maps, color-coded essays, and models.
The rug I currently have in my classroom was bought at a thrift store but is not large enough to fit all of my students at once.
Therefore, many of my students have to sit on the cold tile floor during "carpet time." This rug will allow all my students to sit in a comfortable position. Each decor piece is used to make students feel welcome and safe in the school environment.
