Help me give my students the opportunity to develop their life skills by supporting our Cultivating Canes project. Our students with disabilities classes will utilize our garden area to create a Farm to School project.
Our students with disabilities will utilize our garden area to learn life skills. We are striving to incorporate gardening, pollinator habitat creation, construction and culinary to create a meaningful learning opportunity here on our campus.
Our hope is that the Cultivating Canes initiative will increase students curiosity about food, culture and the work force.
We are working on our reading and math skills through the use of recipes and creating an immersive learning environment.
Our class garden is right outside our classroom window. The students are excited to be part of this inclusive program that is helping support their growth of life skills, environmental stewardship and community involvement.
