My Project
I am an educator at Tekoa Academy, my students are bright, and very artistic. They utilize art as an outlet to express themselves. They are passionate about telling their stories and learning from each other.
I am working on reimagining our Art program to incorporate various elements and forms of art design to include recycled materials, reused materials, mixtures of textures and textiles, original designs and crafts.
In order to successfully do this we need the Cricut Explore 3 machine which will allow my students to begin expanding their imagination from basic drawing patterns and techniques to create designs for materials and production using vinyl.
Music as an art form is soothing and comforting, it creates a sense of peace and harmony especially when in a creative environment thus the headphones are for personal listening pleasure while engaging in critical and creative thinking. They will also be used for video research, listening to various music genres for critique, and my class recordings so that students may listen at their leisure without distracting others. My students are amazing and these materials will encourage, inspire and enhance their artistic skills as well as provide hands-on training for a startup business. Art is like the blooming of a flower, it requires sunlight and water to continue to blossom.
