This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the greatest kids and have the opportunity to teach the most amazing class! As a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, I get the opportunity to showcase my skills to an amazing group of high schoolers to show them a wonderful avenue and possible career path, upon graduation. Kids are excited to come to class and learn, but that takes amazing lessons and more importantly ingredients and tools. To show them how to be the best, I have to provide them with the best tools I possibly can!

My Project

Most of my students don't even know what fresh pasta is, let alone what it tastes like! What an experience to have in school! I am asking for several pasta making machines to allow my students to compare and contrast the difference of fresh pasta vs. boxed pasta.

Most have never had this experience and will truly be wowed!

We spend so much time making a variety of sauces to compliment fresh pasta. This will give them the entire experience! The knives and sharpeners will also be amazing tools on our gala days where we invite parents in to eat things we've been learning to cook!
