This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Cuisenaire rods are great for teaching all kinds of math concepts in kindergarten. These blocks will help to give my students a rigorous early start in math. Cuisenaire rods are useful for learning numeracy as well as for learning geometry, and they are useful for helping young children discover the relationships that arise between number, shape, and pattern.
If we give children challenging things to do, learning comes naturally.
Kids are desperate to explore. They are interested in anything and everything and should have access to the hands-on learning materials they need. It is their human right. We live in a world where our youth are simply not provided enough quality resources to shine; this project will help make the dream of a bright future come true.
Please give us these blocks as soon as possible. School starts August 15!
