it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The school environment can be overwhelming for many students with autism due to sensory overload, social challenges, and academic pressures. The YOUBLEK 20" Weighted Stuffed Animal offers a supportive, non-disruptive tool that helps children feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn. The plushs soft, textured surface allows for safe tactile stimulation, helping students meet sensory needs without disrupting others. Having a consistent comfort object available at school can create a sense of familiarity and emotional safety.
Weighted sensory input can have a grounding effect that encourages better concentration.
What sets them apart isn’t a limitation—it’s their distinct way of processing and interacting with the world.
My goal for this project is to support the sensory and emotional needs of children with autism. Provide a practical, comforting tool that helps autistic children thrive in learning environments. Incorporate this product into IEP plans and raise awareness about the value of sensory tools for neurodiverse students.
