Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom is a special education preschool classroom. Students currently sit on the floor or on a regular chair during circle time and whole group learning. I plan to utilize cube chairs to help foster student learning. Cube chairs allow students to remain engaged during whole group learning. Cube chairs also help students learn about personal boundaries. Students will work on keeping their bodies inside of the cube chair.
When students do not have to focus on their body remaining upright or stable, they are able to fully immerse themselves in our lessons.
My students would benefit from utilizing cube chairs during circle time by allowing them to engage in materials and lessons without worrying about keeping their body in their assigned space.
