This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Kindergarten is the best place to teach! I get to be the first experience a child has with school! We are a low income, Title 1 school in Florida. Each year our class size gets bigger, but our funds get smaller. This year, I will have 25 students who hopefully will learn to love school. My students need a place where they can store their belongings, and have their "own personal space."
In my classroom, I try to provide a safe and happy learning environment. Many of my students share a bed with more than one sibling and have no place to call their own. I want to provide each of my students the ability to create their own safe place and teach them responsibility over their own belongings. We would all appreciate any donation that you might be able to provide.
My students are cramped in the space we have. We need cubbies to store all of our materials in the classroom.
We need a set of cubbies very badly in our classroom. This will help create a "community" in our classroom and will help teach responsibility and allow each child to have an area for his/her belongings.
Your help will make it possible for my students to succeed and to feel connected in the classroom. Thank you in advance for your help!
