My Students
My kindergarten class is an amazing group of diverse learners. I work with students from many different cultural backgrounds, with some students speaking up to 3 languages. I also teach students with disabilities who need additional resources and support. My goal as their teacher is to differentiate my instruction to meet their needs, whether I am teaching math or social skills. Everyday I work to build a classroom community where all students are respected, encouraged, and included.
Kindergarten is a crucial year in a child's academic and social/emotional development, and I strive to be the best teacher for each of my students.
There is no other job I could imagine doing. I am grateful to DonorsChoose for connecting me to so many wonderful people and organizations who want to help my classroom succeed this year and every year.
My Project
This project will be incredibly helpful for the organization and care of my students belongings. Our wall cubbies are falling apart and students are losing their safe place to put their belongings. I am also preparing gifts for the end of year including this adorable book about going to first grade. This book is one of my favorites and my kids have loved getting them at the end of the year.
These items will improve the organization of our classroom and provide a fun and educational gift for my students as they leave kindergarten.
