CSI family night, what could be more fun. It will provide an opportunity for families to explore science together.
We are a Title 1 school with 61% of our students qualifying for the free/reduced price lunch program.
We are a small, rural, public school with a limited budget. I would like to organize a CSI family night to get students, as well as their parents, excited about science.
My Project
This CSI family night will allow for an evening of science for students and their families to do together. Unlike science fairs (competitive) everyone involved in a family science night plays a role in scientific discovery. Families work together to explore the world of science by participating in hands-on activities.
Multiple stations allow for self-paced exploration.

Unlike science fairs, everyone involved in a family science night plays a role in scientific discovery in a collaborative effort.
I have requested microscopes for families to look at their prints, a forensic bingo game, and a kit which will allow them to extract their own DNA. Funding this request will go far to involve our families in science with their children.
